Il\u0131ca Beach, with its wide sandy shore and shallow waters fed by thermal springs, is ideal for families. Alt\u0131nkum Beach is known for its golden sand, while Ayayorgi Cove offers a more social beach club atmosphere. P\u0131rlanta Beach is a favorite among windsurfers. Other popular options in the area include Sak\u0131zl\u0131 Cove, Kocakar\u0131 Beach, and Boyal\u0131k Cove.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The history of \u00c7e\u015fme dates back to the 7th century BC. We recommend adding \u00c7e\u015fme Castle to your itinerary. Built in 1508 by Mir Haydar, the governor of Ayd\u0131n at the time, during the reign of Bayezid II, the castle now houses the \u00c7e\u015fme Archaeology Museum and has been on UNESCO\u2019s Tentative World Heritage List since 2020. While in \u00c7e\u015fme, the caravanserai from the era of Suleiman the Magnificent, the Hellenistic and Roman ruins, and the historic fountains that gave the district its name are also worth seeing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the culinary front, \u00c7e\u015fme offers some of the Aegean\u2019s most beloved flavors. In 2009, the district became the first in T\u00fcrkiye to join the global Cittaslow network and earned its \u201cSlow City\u201d title. Founded in Italy in 1999, the Cittaslow movement seeks to resist the uniformity brought by globalization by protecting local cuisine, architecture, traditions, and craftsmanship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the first places to visit in Seferihisar is the ancient city of Teos. With its Temple of Dionysos, agora, theater, cisterns, and ruins of an ancient harbor, it ranks among the region\u2019s most important archaeological sites. Another stop that completes the historical atmosphere is S\u0131\u011fac\u0131k. Its stone houses with bay windows, narrow streets, and the producer market held every Sunday within the walls of S\u0131\u011fac\u0131k Castle have become the district\u2019s signature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the beach side, Akkum Beach is the best known. Blue Flag-certified, covered with fine sand, and usually windy, it is especially popular for windsurfing and sailing. Entry to the public beach section is free, while sunbeds and umbrellas can be rented for varying fees depending on the operator. Akarca Beach, with its shallow, calm waters, is more suitable for families with children and is also a Blue Flag public beach. Known as the \u201cMaldives of Seferihisar,\u201d Ekmeksiz Beach, within S\u0131\u011fac\u0131k Ekmeksiz Nature Park, opened to the public in the 2020 summer season and quickly became popular. The path down to the beach passes through pine trees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other alternatives for swimming in Seferihisar include Do\u011fanbey and \u00dcrkmez beaches, \u00c7am\u00e7az Cove and Girlen
