Mediterranean beaches don’t get much better than Patara! At 12 kilometers in length, sandy Patara Beach has grown in popularity since 2020, declared the Year of Patara by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. About 45 kilometers from Ka\u015f, in the Antalya province, the dunes of Patara are so striking that the area was used as a film set: the desert scenes in the famous Tosun Pasha movie, starring Kemal Sunal and \u015eener \u015een, were shot here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Patara is also a spawning area for the Caretta (loggerhead) turtles. Therefore, it is useful to check on entrance and exit times before visiting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Patara and Xanthos Ancient Cities are a short drive from Patara Beach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

Set between Ka\u015f and Kalkan, in Antalya, Kaputa\u015f Beach lies at the mouth of a canyon. Its distinctive silhouette is often seen in advertisements and promotional films about T\u00fcrkiye. Kaputa\u015f Beach is accessed via a 187-step staircase, which also offers great photo opportunities. Among Kaputa\u015f\u2019 unique characteristics are its water: spring water flows from the mountains and mingles with sea water underground, ensuring that the waters of Kaputa\u015f Beach remain cool and refreshing. If you enjoy cold-water swimming, a visit to Kaputa\u015f Beach will be a treat! Close to Kaputa\u015f is the otherworldly Blue Cave, accessible only by sea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Set in Dalyan, Mu\u011fla, \u0130ztuzu Beach was selected the best open area in Europe by The Times in 2008, the best beach in Europe by Zoover and Meteovista in 2011, and the 7th best beach in Europe by TripAdvisor in 2013. \u0130ztuzu Beach, a 4.5 kilometer-long crescent of golden sand, is most certainly among the Mediterranean\u2019s most beautiful beaches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u0130ztuzu is also a prominent spawning ground for the \u200bCaretta sea turtles \u2013 in fact, the beach is commonly known as \u2018Turtle Beach\u2019 \u2013 which have been under protection in this area since 1988. To avoid disturbing the turtles, the beach is closed between 20:00 and 08:00, and it is forbidden to make noise or turn on lights in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

Cleopatra Beach<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\nCleopatra Beach, in the Alanya district of Antalya<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
Cleopatra Beach is a magnificent two-kilometer-long Mediterranean beach located in the Alanya district of Antalya, to the west of the historical peninsula. It is named for the legendary Egyptian queen, who is believed to have enjoyed the area with the Roman general, Mark Antony. Wide and sandy, golden Cleopatra Beach draws hundreds of thousands of tourists annually for sea-sand-sun holidays along its shallow, clear sea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Snorkeling and paragliding, along with jet ski and pedalo activities, are quite popular on Cleopatra Beach, with a number of companies providing rental equipment. We also recommend a visit to the nearby Damlata\u015f Cave and the Blue Flag Damlata\u015f Beach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

The views attract paragliders; paragliding is especially popular here, with companies providing facilities for routes that start from Babada\u011f and end in \u00d6l\u00fcdeniz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Within a short drive from Belcek\u0131z Beach are Hisar\u00f6n\u00fc Town, Butterfly Valley, K\u0131drak Bay, Paspatur Bazaar, Arsada Ancient City and Telmessos Ancient City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
