    At 1,850 meters above sea level, Val d’Isère, in the Savoy region, is the highest town in France. The town has a fairytale appearance in the winter months, with houses nestled into the snowy foothills of the French Alps.

    In addition, Val d’Isère offers a range of ski tracks for beginners and professionals as well as ice skating and sledding facilities. Open five months of the year and featuring long off-tracks, the ski center has comfortable resting and dining areas.


    Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy

    The Italian Alps in general and Cortina d’Ampezzo in particular are among our favorite ski destinations. This high-end ski resort includes beginner and intermediate ski tracks, along with luxury hotels and upscale boutiques.


    Whistler Blackbomb, Canada

    Whistler Blackbomb is North America’s largest ski resort, with the world’s highest and longest cable car system, and more than 200 tracks suitable for all skill levels.

    At the junction of the Whistler and Blackbomb mountains, the Whistler mountain tracks are ideal for beginners and intermediate skiers, while Blackbomb features steep slopes and challenging trails. The ski season here runs from November to May.

    Considered one of the world’s premier ski resorts, this stunning town in the Swiss Alps has terrific slopes, a lively atmosphere, and Europe’s longest ski season. Reached via the highest railroad in Europe, Zermatt offers ski and other winter sports facilities, along with entertainment, dining and accommodation. You can climb Mount Gornergrat for even more breathtaking views.


    Niseko United, Japan

    Winter sports are extremely popular in Japan and Niseko United, on Hokkaido Island, is the country’s most prominent winter sports destination. Niseko United houses four ski centers and features slopes suitable for all skill levels. In addition, hiking and snowmobile tours are available, along with world-class restaurants.


    Deer Valley Resort, Utah, United States

    Deer Valley, east of Utah’s capital, Salt Lake City, is one of North America’s most well-known ski destinations, with luxurious facilities and pistes for skiers at all skill levels. Deer Valley also has a sophisticated infrastructure, having hosted a number of International Ski Federation competitions. Guests at Deer Valley can take lessons from renowned instructors; as well, the resort features parking services, ski valets and childcare facilities.

    Connecting five ski resorts, Ski Arlberg is Austria’s largest ski resort and is renowned worldwide. This top ski vacation destination is surrounded by authentic Austrian villages, and features comfortable accommodations, and restaurants run by award-winning chefs, along with a number of entertainment options.


    Aspen, Colorado, United States 

    Aspen, in Colorado, is another popular ski destination known for its proximity to four mountains: Aspen, Buttermilk, Highlands and Snowmass, with Buttermilk and Highlands offering the easiest trails. In addition to winter sports, Aspen has upscale hotels, restaurants and shopping.

    In the early 1900s, St. Moritz was the premier ski destination for French aristocrats. Following a visit to St. Moritz, Baroness Maurice de Rothschild, along with her ski instructor Try Smith, came across the tranquil and beautiful village of Megève. The Rothschild family invested in various facilities, transforming Megève into a popular winter holiday spot. Today, in addition to winter sports, this delightful ski resort features stylish boutiques and luxury accommodations, as well as the most Michelin-starred restaurants of any ski resort.
