Magic Kingdom Theme Park, United States of America
Magic Kingdom Theme Park in Orlando, Florida, is one of four separate complexes in the Walt Disney World Resort and the world’s most popular theme park. Focused on classic Disney characters and stories, Magic Kingdom Theme Park features six distinct areas, including Main Street U.S.A., Adventureland, Frontierland, Liberty Square, Fantasyland and Tomorrowland.
- Marking the entrance area to the park, Main Street, U.S.A. features carousels and horse-drawn trams, as well as shops and restaurants.
- Adventureland encompasses a range of geographic themes and is home to some of the park’s most popular rides, including Pirates of the Caribbean and Jungle Cruise.
- Frontierland is based on the spirit of the “wild west” and features rides like Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, as well as shows such as the Country Bear Jamboree.

Considered the world’s first modern amusement park, Disneyland California was founded by Walt Disney on July 17, 1955, in Anaheim, California. Disneyland California is ranked second among the world’s most popular theme parks and has nine distinct areas focused on Disney characters and stories.
Universal Studios Japan, Japan
Opened in 2001, Universal Studios Japan, in Osaka, Japan, was the first Universal Studios Park in Asia. Now ranked among the world’s most popular entertainment complexes, the park is divided into ten themed areas and offers rides such as roller coasters and water slides, as well as live shows featuring famous cartoon characters.
Tokyo Disneyland, Japan
The Tokyo Disneyland theme park, Disney’s first complex outside the United States, opened on April 15, 1983. In 2019, it ranked third among the world’s most popular theme parks, with nearly 18 million visitors. Tokyo Disneyland is similar to Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, but features a glass and steel World Bazaar and a Westernland themed area. The park is set in the Tokyo Disney Resort, which also contains Tokyo DisneySea.
EPCOT, United States of America
Located in Orlando, Florida and opened on October 1, 1982, EPCOT was Walt Disney World’s second theme park. Focused along an international theme, the park features annual food, art and garden festivals as well as rides and other activities.
Europa-Park, Germany
Set in Rust, Baden-Württemberg, Europa-Park is in southwest Germany near the French border. One of the world’s most popular theme parks, Europa-Park features rides and a water park along with a plethora of restaurants, events and live shows.
Everland, South Korea
In the Yongin district and about a two-hour train ride from Seoul, Everland theme park features a water park, in addition to rides and other activities. The complex also houses a racing speedway and a museum along with hotels and restaurants.
SeaWorld, Abu Dhabi
On Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, SeaWorld opened on May 23, 2023. This marine-themed park is dedicated to marine science and conservation, and visitors can observe a variety of sea creatures up close. SeaWorld Abu Dhabi, the first SeaWorld park outside the United States, consists of seven distinct sections.
- The Tropical River focuses on tropical forests and rivers.
- The Reef focuses on coral reefs and marine life.
