The seven most beautiful, dreamy beaches in Turkey

This is the land of secluded bays and serene, inviting seas. To be honest, there are so many gorgeous beaches in Turkey; we can’t count them all. Many of them are hidden gems known only by local residents. However, we’ve listed the most prominent of these beaches. If you discover others – and are willing to tell anyone else – let us know!

    Patara, Kaş

Patara is the right choice if you want to simply relax on a long, white sand beach. At 18 kilometers, there’s plenty of space for long beach walks and a bit of solitude. If you do manage to leave the sand and sea vistas, check out the ancient city and the rivers and lagoons in the surrounding area.

    Kabak, Fethiye

Twenty-five kilometers from lively Ölüdeniz, in Fethiye, Kabak Bay is a world unto itself. It’s not immediately accessible; if traveling via public transportation, take the Faralya bus from Fethiye. The one-hour bus ride stops at the hill above the Bay. A few minutes’ walk later[CG1] , you reach the beach and the turquoise Bay. Tranquil Kabak Beach attracts nature lovers and yoga aficionados due to its isolation and lush green surroundings.

    Iztuzu, Dalyan

Any beach preferred by loggerhead sea turtles (the Caretta carettas) is good enough for us! Pine-covered hills are the backdrop to golden yellow sand beach and azure waters. Formed by the meeting of the Dalyan River and the Mediterranean Sea, İztuzu Beach is ideal for swimming, sunbathing and surfing. There are very few buildings along the beach, which adds to its appeal.  As part of the loggerhead conservation efforts, humans are not permitted on the beach between 8 pm and 8 am.

    Çıralı, Kemer

The mountains embraced the azure waters of the Mediterranean and Çıralı Beach, proud of its golden sands, was born. Known for its easygoing ambiance and plentiful flora and fauna, Çıralı Beach attracts a low-key population of nature lovers and individual travelers. The ancient ruins of Olympos, a World Heritage site, are nearby, should you wish to venture further.

    Ölüdeniz, Fethiye

Set at the meeting point of the Aegean and the Mediterranean Seas, Ölüdeniz is considered among the world’s most beautiful places. The sea is so vibrantly colored that it feels almost otherworldly, while mountains covered with lush forest extend into the water. A paraglide from Babadağ will give visitors an even more spectacular view.

    Kleopatra Beach, Alanya

This beautiful beach in the foothills of the Taurus Mountains is easily accessible from the city. Cafes and restaurants overlook the white sands and palm trees of lively Kleopatra Beach, while visitors seeking a more active seaside experience can rent a variety of water sports equipment.

    Kaputaş Beach, Kaş

Accessed via a 200-step path, this attractive beach marks the meeting point of Kaş and Kalkan, two of Antalya’s most popular holiday destinations, and offers some of the most spectacular sunrise and sunset views in Turkey. Casual restaurants, white sand and calm seas complete the picture.
