Septemberโ€™s event list begins with a delightful musical comedy from Fred Armisen, the comedian, writer, producer and musician. Comedy for Musicians but Everyone is Welcome will be hosted at Salon ฤฐKSV by Comedy Stage, which previously captivated audiences at the Gezgin Salon Festivali (Traveling Hall Festival).ย 

Adana Golden Boll Film Festival kicks off

The 31st edition of the Adana Golden Boll Film Festival (Adana Altฤฑn Koza Film Festivali) takes place between September 23-29. The jury of the National Feature Film Competition, chaired by Nuri Bilge Ceylan, includes actor and director Mehmet AslantuฤŸ, actor Serenay Sarฤฑkaya, writer and screenwriter Nermin Yฤฑldฤฑrฤฑm, director and screenwriter Mustafa Kara, editor Ayris Alptekin and writer, film critic and curator Mรผge Turan.

HAL-BU-Kฤฐ at Anna Laudel Bodrum

Opening at Anna Laudel Bodrum, Hanefi Yeterโ€™s solo exhibition HAL-BU-Kฤฐ continues the celebrated artistโ€™s journey of more than half a century with inspiration from social and sociological observations. Yeter shares his writings and works with Anna Laudel Bodrum visitors by combining his artistic autobiography his books and current painting exhibition. The book launch is scheduled for August 22, at 19:30 at Anna Laudel Gallery in ZAฤฐ YaลŸam and the exhibition runs through September 8.

Two new movies in theaters: Longlegs and 8×8ย 

Longlegs, starring Oscar-winning actor Nicolas Cage and young horror-thriller star Maika Monroe, has been dubbed โ€œthe best serial killer movie since Silence of the Lambs.โ€ Kฤฑvanรง Sezer’s 8X8 is a story about love, separation and death, centered on Eda and her boyfriend Sarp, going abroad on a scholarship. Both movies will be in theaters starting September 6.

Arter Children’s Festival between September 6-8

Among the must-see September events is the Arter Children’s Festival. Arter invites children aged 4 to 11 to the Arter Children’s Festival: Art As I See It, taking place between September 6-8. Children interested in art are invited to discover the power of expression through art at the festival, which opens the doors to a world full of inspiration for little ones through exhibition tours, workshops and rhythm-based activities.

Jazz in Bozcaada

The Bozcaada Jazz Festival, one of Septemberโ€™s most anticipated events, hosts music lovers between September 6-8. Now in its 8th edition, this yearโ€™s festival is themed โ€œMyceliumโ€, a substance that plays an important role in the transportation of nutrients in nature as the thin and thread-like webs of fungi. The festival features renowned musicians such as Anika Nilles, Anฤฑl ลžallฤฑel and Alfa Mist.

Odunpazarฤฑ Modern Museum celebrates its 5th anniversary with the exhibition Ehlikeyif

Eskisehir residents and visitors are in for a treat as the Odunpazarฤฑ Modern Museum celebrates its 5th anniversary with the Ehlikeyif exhibition, presenting contemporary works and fantastic designs. Curated by ฤฐdil Tabanca, the exhibition features international artists and designers who push traditional boundaries in painting, sculpture, installation and furniture design, redefining the relationship between form and function. Ehlikeyif can be seen at OMM beginning Sunday, September 8, 2024.

Gezici Film Festivali (Travelling Film Festival) brings cinema to the villages of Istanbul

Gezici Film Festivali (The Traveling Film Festival), which began in July and concludes on September 8, continues with film screenings and workshops in villages including Beykoz, ลžile, Tuzla, ร‡atalca, Arnavutkรถy and Silivri.
