Kayseri Erciyes Ski Resort

Snow falls for an average of 57 days per year at Kars Sarıkamış Ski Center and the snow remains on the ground for about 114 days. Under normal winter conditions, the snow at Sarıkamış is up to 1.5 meters deep. Extremely suitable for skiing and snowboarding, the snow has the characteristics of the “crystal snow” found in the Alps and consists of large crystal grains that do not stick together. Kastamonu Ilgaz Ski Center is on the 2,850-meter-high Ilgaz mountain range and within the Ilgaz National Park. The Center is known for its humidity and fog, as well as lush fir forests. The recently opened Hakkâri Merga Bütan Ski Center is a new address for winter sports. Furthermore, snow stays on the ground for almost half the year, allowing the Hakkâri ski season to operate for around six months.
