July’s event guide begins with a screening of Yorgos Lanthimos’ new film, Kinds of Kindness, which premiered at Cannes. The award-winning film will be screened at İKSV Galas prior to its July 5 release, at Atlas 1948 and Kadıköy Sineması (Kadıköy Cinema) on July 1-2.
Each Tuesday this month: Akbank 20th Short Film Festival Shorts
Films from the national competition selection of the 20th Akbank Short Film Festival, held between March 25 and April 4, will be shown every Tuesday in July. Akbank Sanat will screen a total of 15 short films; admission is free.
Black Pumas at Zorlu PSM on July 2
Black Pumas perform at Zorlu PSM on July 2 as part of 100% Music’s PSM Loves Summer. The Austin, Texas-based duo was nominated for seven Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year and Best New Artist. The concert is one of the top July events.
Yalın presents “Bir Büyülü Gece” at Efes
Yalın, the well-known Turkish pop singer, celebrates his 20th anniversary with a concert series titled A Magical Night (Bir Büyülü Gece) at the Ephesus Great Theater. Tickets are currently on sale for the concerts on Friday, July 19 and Saturday, July 20.

French cinema at Cermodern
The Institut Français de Turquie announced a new cinema project that will take place across Türkiye this summer and fall. Each evening, moviegoers in the Turkish cities hosting French Cinema Week can see a short film by a Turkish director or producer, followed by a French film on the same theme with Turkish subtitles. A music forest in the city: Feel Real presents Babylon Soundgarden
