    The Black Forest (Schwarzwald) in Germany is a large, mountainous forested area in the state of Baden-Württemberg, in the country’s southwest region. A popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts, the Black Forest is renowned for its hiking, cycling, skiing, as well as its hot springs, and historic towns and villages.


    How do I get to the Black Forest?

    Turkish Airlines operates flights from Istanbul to Frankfurt and Stuttgart. Flights to Frankfurt and Stuttgart take around three and a half hours and three hours and ten minutes, respectively. From each of those regions, visitors can drive or take a train to the Black Forest region. The duration of the trip will vary depending on the route and method of transportation.

    Triberg Waterfalls

    Schwarzwaldhochstrasse

    Schwarzwaldhochstrasse (Schwarzwaldhochstraße), one of the Black Forest’s most famous trails, is a strenuous 43-kilometer route through hills. This very scenic route offers nature lovers excellent exploration opportunities.
