How about spending a night at the foothills of Mount Süphan? This mountain is one of the tallest mountains in Turkey at 4,058 meters high. Şekerpınarı or the Süphan highland are great camp spots based in the vicinity of the mountain. Mount Süphan is a popular mountaineering spot in Turkey and the perfect opportunity for those that have any mountaineering experience. When you reach the summit, you will be greeted by the breathtaking beauty of Lake Van.
The splendid summit is blanketed in snow all year round, but the best time to visit Mount Süphan on your camping, climbing trip is any time between September and June. During this time, poppy flowers spring up and decorate the beautiful shades of green against the azure blue backdrop of Nemrut Crater Lake.
