Paris Modern Art Museum (Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris)

The Paris Museum of Modern Art features a collection of around nine thousand works that cover the major art movements of the 20th century. Housed in an expansive 1930s building, the Museum has a storied history: in 2010, five masterpieces worth 500 million euros – works from Picasso, Matisse, Braque, Modigliani and Léger – were stolen. Described as the art heist of the century, the thief was Vjeran Tomic, also known as ‘Spiderman’ due to his technique. Berlin Wall Memorial

Erected in 1961 and torn down in 1989, the Berlin Wall divided the city into east and west sections for 28 years. On Bernauer Strasse, in place of the wall is the Berlin Wall Memorial, opened to visitors in 1998. The museum comprises four areas titled A, B, C and D, featuring indoor and outdoor exhibitions and Documentation and Visitor centers. Admission to the Berlin Wall Memorial is free of charge.
